China's first international insurance brokerage association

China's first international insurance brokerage association was established in Beijing on Thursday, China Daily reported.

Jiang Tai International Associates was started by Jiang Tai Insurance Brokers. Thirty-seven international brokerage firms are believed to have signed cooperation deals with the firm to become a member associate.

The new association purportedly wants bring the insurable exposures faced by a company and its subsidiaries around the world into one insurance programme, as more Chinese enterprises pursue overseas expansion.

The alliance could help Jiang Tai operate on an international scale and reach difficult locations around the world where there is a presence of Chinese investments and contractors.
